"A necklace for Vodka"
Talk to an EngineerIt’s staggering how much vodka Americans drink, and nobody makes more vodka than this customer. As a way to keep their branding on point a “neck hanger” paper cone is placed on each 1L bottle of vodka. This way, their marketing materials can change without having to relabel the product on the shelves. But making each neck hanger was laborious until Invent Automation stepped in to automate the process.
With a little ingenuity and a lot of trial and error, Invent Automation was able to automate the making of the paper cones and get the cycle time down to under two seconds per cone.
Labor and quality issues related to making neck hangers by hand
We are now the world’s foremost expert on paper cone forming and the math behind it. We’re happy to sign autographs.
The machine was cool, but visiting facilities and office amidst a sprawling vodka empire was truly special. Hearing the owner's story from people who were there made the experience unforgettable!
It’s tricky to pick on piece of paper off a stack every time, but hey, we are good at solving the difficult.
